These Cowboys throwbacks have become a Thanksgiving tradition dating back to 1994 when throwback jerseys in general were a novel concept. Based on the original 1960-1963 uniforms, these were first revived when the NFL was celebrating their 75th anniversary season in 1994. After a short return to the standard whites on Thanksgiving from 1995 to 2000, Dallas brought these fan favorite throwbacks back in 2001 and have used some version of them most years since, sometimes with the opposing team also sporting throwback unis.
This 2011 TI model jersey has been professionally customized to one of the greatest cornerbacks of all time, Darrelle Revis, and is complete with a 1-star navy blue captains patch as Witten wore during the 2011 Thanksgiving Day game vs the Miami Dolphins.
