Brand/Model: Game Worn Authentic Riddell Speed Helmet
Condition: This was a Steelers game worn helmet during the 2012 Preseason. The helmet was worn by Isaiah Green who was a Rookie Cornerback out of Fresno State. In 2012 Green did not make the 53 man roster, but was signed to the practice squad. Green went on to make the roster the following year and played in 3 games. At minimum, this was worn against the Bills in which all players wore a USA Football “Heads Up” sticker.
After this helmet was decommissioned, the Steelers equipment staff removed the numbers and replaced them with Le’Veon Bell’s number 26. The helmet was then signed by Bell on the left side of the Helmet in yellow sharpie.
Le’Veon wore a slightly different mask once games began, but I was able to find some evidence of Le’Veon Bell wearing this style facemask during a 2013 Rookie photo shoot shown on the football card in the last listing photo.
