Los Angeles Kings Bernie Nicholls 1982-1983 NHL Hockey Jersey
Size: 46 (Large)
Brand/Model: Maska CCM Mesh Authentic
Condition: 9/10. Has very minor staining on the front hem (see closeup photo). Overall in great gently worn condition.
The LA Kings were one of the original NHL expansion teams, making their NHL debut in 1967. Their original color scheme of purple and yellow was based on the LA Lakers color scheme, but officially, the purple is referred to as “Forum Blue” because former Laker owner Jack Kent Cooke loved purple but, for whatever reason, refused to say that was the color he liked. He called it blue. Former Lakers sportscaster Chick Hearn (or maybe Cooke himself) came up with calling the Laker purple “Forum blue” and it stuck.
This rare one year on-ice authentic is done up to one of the most underrated hockey players of all time, Bernie Nicholls. Nicholls has over 1200 career points, a 150 point and 70 goal season, and is still not in the Hall of Fame.
If you need this vintage gem in your collection, snipe it now before it’s gone for good!
