Tutored by legendary coaches John Hadl and Sid Gillman, Young became the first pro quarterback ever to throw for 300 yards and rush for 100 in a single game. Despite his rising stardom, the Express collapsed financially, forcing Young to literally help pay for the team bus before one game and even line up at running back when injuries gutted the roster. This jersey represents that wild early chapter of his career—when a future Hall of Famer took a gamble on the upstart league that tried to challenge the NFL.
