A rare throwback to the final days of Hartford Whalers hockey! Jean-Sebastien Giguere was drafted 13th overall by Hartford in 1995 and made his NHL debut during the franchise’s final season in 1996-97, appearing in just EIGHT games before the Whalers relocated to Carolina. “Jiggy” would go on to become one of the NHL’s premier goaltenders, winning the 2003 Conn Smythe Trophy after an incredible playoff run with Anaheim and capturing the Stanley Cup in 2007. Giguere was also the LAST active NHL player to have worn a Hartford Whalers jersey.
