Edmonton’s “Oil Drop” alternate uniforms were designed in part by famous comic book artist Todd McFarlane who has also written and illustrated comics such as Spider-Man, Batman, Hulk, and many others with the 5 rivets on the crest symbolizing Edmonton’s 5 Stanley Cup Championships.
This 2005-06 third jersey is a TI model authentic made up to one of the greatest defensemen of all time, Chris Pronger. During his only season in Edmonton, he led the Oilers to the Stanley Cup Finals where they lost to the Carolina Hurricanes in 7 games.
