After the lockout year in 2004-05, Joe Sakic and the Avs were celebrating the franchise’s 10th season in Colorado with this “X” anniversary patch. While worn on the right chest of the home and road jerseys, this alternate wordmark jersey didn’t leave enough room on the right chest, so it had to be placed on the left chest, which is the reason this one needed to be squeezed in near the captains patch. Kind of a fun quirk on an exceedingly rare jersey style!
