This mesh authentic is specific to the 1995-96 season due to the unique one-year version of the Starter logo on the rear hem. This is the home version of the Avs inaugural jersey and is complete with 1996 Stanley Cup patch exactly as Sakic wore when the Avs swept the Panthers in the 1996 Stanley Cup Finals.

Some of the details commonly messed up on these early Avs jerseys are the twill colors and name font. This jersey has both accurate fonts, but also accurate colors and materials including sleeve numbers made from white glacier twill over a layer blue (not black) twill over a layer of silver dazzle twill.
