This jersey was intended for Sunday home games during the 2006 season, but was rarely worn. It is a near replica of the White Sox’s 1906 home uniform, created to commemorate its 100th anniversary. The primary difference is the absence of the original wide collar. While authentic 1906 uniforms did not feature player numbers, the White Sox updated the design for modern use by adding numbers to the back. Uniquely, they chose to use the “Wild West” number font from their 1976–1981 pajama-style uniforms, a nod to their own eccentric uniform history.
