These beautiful 1917 throwbacks were worn by the White Sox for Sunday home games dusing the 2001 season. The jersey also features American League 100th anniversary “Charter Member” patch which was only worn by the AL teams who were around a century prior!
The original 1917 model of this jersey style was made especially for wearing in the 1917 World Series, as the team did not wear this uniform during the 1917 regular season! At the time, this change of uniforms by the team was done without the approval of the league, and angered many who thought the team arrogant.
