For the 1994 MLB season, the Cubs debuted these now infamous “Cuba” jerseys which featured the brand new Cubs script logo which could easily be mistaken as “Cuba” and also bore a striking resemblance to the Cuban National Team jerseys at the time. Fans generally disliked the new style, and these only lasted for 3 seasons. The Cub logo on the sleeve was also short lived, and it’s a shame it didn’t continue through the next uniform rebrand.
