For the 1994 MLB season, the Cubs debuted these now infamous “Cuba” jerseys. Both this blue alternate and gray road jerseys featured the brand new Cubs script logo which could easily be mistaken as “Cuba” and also bore a striking resemblance to the Cuban National Team jerseys at the time. Fans generally disliked the new style, and these only lasted for 3 seasons. I personally love the non-traditional style. The Cub logo on the sleeve is my favorite of all time, and it’s a shame it didn’t continue through the next uniform rebrand.
