This black Reebok Edge alternate was worn for just the 2008-09 season. This one is also the Reebok Edge 2.0 style, which was basically impossible to find as the vast majority of jerseys sold at the time were Edge 1.0 jerseys. Long story short, the league adopted the Reebok Edge jersey template for the ‘07-08 season, but the jersey material was widely disliked by players as it absorbed too much moisture and became heavy, wet, and not breathable during games. Midway through that season, nearly every player switched over to this Edge 2.0 style which is a tougher, more breathable, Air-Knit fabric. So, although the authentics sold in stores remained Edge 1.0 for years, actual on ice jerseys were 2.0, making this arguably the hardest Blackhawks authentic jersey to find from the last 30 years.
