The greatest basketball player of all time famously played baseball during the 1994 season for the White Sox AA minor league affiliate, the Birmingham Barons. Jordan wore #45 and despite what has become the popular belief, MJ had a very respectable year and finished his only pro baseball season red hot. For a guy who hadn’t played competitive baseball since high school, he was more than impressive, and many believe he could’ve cracked the MLB roster if he stayed for the ‘95 season.

The absolute rarest of the rare, this pro model team issued Barons jersey features an authentic Professional Baseball 125th anniversary patch that was only worn by minor league teams during the 1994 season. MLB teams wore a very similar patch that didn’t include the phrase “Professional Baseball”. These seldom worn black alternate uniforms were often replaced with their black mesh batting practice jerseys which can be distinguished by the lack of knit sleeve cuffs.
