After winning rookie of the year in 1982, the legendary Cal Ripken Jr. went on to appear in NINETEEN straight All-Star games during his Hall of Fame career, winning 2 AL MVP awards along the way. Easily one of the best players in MLB history and maybe the greatest shortstop ever, Ripken is of course known as baseball’s Iron Man as he played in an astonishing 2,632 consecutive games from 1982 to 1998.

To the casual observer, all home jerseys from 1995 through 2003 appear the same: similar colors of all elements and similar trim. All years of this style of home jersey have both placket and sleeve end trim However, the front wordmark changes slightly during this style run. The 1995–1997 jerseys features this thicker style logo with a small loop, sewn at a steeper angle of incline compared to the later style.
