These Cowboys throwbacks have become a Thanksgiving tradition dating back to 1994 when throwback jerseys in general were a novel concept. Based on the original 1960-1963 uniforms, these were first revived when the NFL was celebrating their 75th anniversary season in 1994. After a short return to the standard whites on Thanksgiving from 1995 to 2000, Dallas brought these fan favorite throwbacks back in 2001 and have used some version of them most years since, sometimes with the opposing team also sporting throwback unis.

This ‘07 iteration throws it back to a Thanksgiving game between the Cowboys and Jets which was a 34-3 ass kicking by the Cowboys. 2007 was a very promising season for Dallas as they went 13-3 on their way to a division title only to lose to the eventual Super Bowl Champions and NFC East rival the New York Giants in the Divisional Round of the Playoffs.
