This TI model jersey throws it back to Rick Nash’s rookie year in which the Jackets wore this version of their inaugural jerseys with “Stinger” shoulder patches. For the Blue Jackets’ first three seasons, Stinger adorned the shoulders of their jerseys, a bizarre but glorious mashup of a yellow jacket mixed with Columbus’ signature blue. The result? A neon green hornet with laser-red eyes.

Another subtle but cool detail on these early jerseys is the extremely subtle striping pattern sublimated into the jersey fabric. Look closely, and you’ll spot two nearly identical shades of white forming horizontal stripes, a nod to the American flag. Just another layer of flair on a sweater that screams turn-of-the-millennium hockey.
